Werme Kafferosteri is a small coffee roastery located in a small village just north of Ystad. My interest in coffee began when I was introduced to the newly started coffee roastery Johan & Nyström in Tullinge in 2004. I then worked at PetSoundsBar in Stockholm and started serving 5th estate espresso and bourbon jungle as brewed coffee to our guests. When a good friend of mine started roasting coffee and that’s when my interest really took off.

My first own roaster was a small sampleroaster Huky 500 that roasted 250g. But the more you learn about coffee, the more you realize that there is more to learn and in the spring of 2020 I bought my first real roaster, a Probat shoproaster 5 kg which was used at the Coffee SM in Jönköping 2016.

My goal is that my coffee roasting should be:

• Sustainable – for those who grow the beans and for our planet
• Traceable – I want to know where the beans come from and who grew them
• Fun, developing and educational – both for me and for my guests!
